The Ministry of Housing of Panama is the institution in charge of integrating the effort of all of the sectors of society for the optimal use of urban Panama. The Ministry was founded in January 1973 and since then the Ministry of Housing of Panama has been developing  housing solutions for the poor.  It additionally is responsible for complying with article 109 of the Constitution which requires that all new housing meet a certain standard. 

The Ministry of Housing of Panama is lead by Balbina Herrera and Doris Zapata as minister and vice-minister respectively.  The Ministry of Housing of Panama is located on the Ricardo J. Alfaro ave, Plaza Edison Building, 4^th floor.

In order to consolidate its objectives the Ministry of Housing of Panama executes a series of programs through which the assigned resources are channeled in a reasonable and responsible way.  The Ministry of Housing of Panama looks for establishment in a community of solidarity and fair for its inhabitants. 

The Ministry of Housing of Panama assumes its role and coordinates with all of the institutions that participate in the development of the infrastructure.
