The Organization of American States has 35 member countries making up its body. This vital organization of the western hemisphere participates actively in the protection of human rights.

In like manner, the chapter of the Organization of American States in Panama voices a similar theme. Corruption is one of the scourges of current society, and therefore they need to work united in pro of its eradication.  The rights of the woman and the indigenous towns are some of the compromises acquired by the Organization of American States in Panama.

One of the events where the Organization of American States in Panama plays an important role is during the general elections of this country.  Previous to each electoral event representatives of the Organization of American States in Panama and members of the international level exercise their role as observers.
