The zoo also has a wonderful nursery with flowers for sale like orchids and bougainvilleas. This nursery also has the National Flower of Panama (Holy Ghost Orchid) which is one of 200 species of orchids that you can find on site.
A visit to the El Nispero Zoo is an unforgettable experience thus in the central area there is an aquarium with Japanese fish and Carp. In addition they are trying to place an attractive site for butterflies, because an immense variety of them have been detected in the area. Remember to take a camera, comfortable shoes, a hat and sun block. It's open daily 7 - 5 and admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children.
