The province of Cocle is one of Panama’s nine provinces and is about 90 minutes or so from Panama City. Each province is proud of its heritage and culture and their day to day lifestyle is there for all to enjoy and especially so for tourists.

If you travel to La Pintada in February you will have the opportunity of celebrating the famous yearly event of "El Carnaval". During the festivities which last almost a week you can see inspired exhibits of the areas culture in a parade of floats and marches through the town.
La Pintada has several craftwork stands for you to take beautiful memories back to you country; and where they make the painted sombrero, used by the peasants for protection against the sun.
