If you travel to this province in February you will see the Concurso Nacional de Panderos y Cometas Artesanales (National Contest of handmade “Panderos” -Large Kites- and Kites) which exhibits the talent of children, teens and adults for the construction of their artifacts. The activity of handmade “panderos” and kites is carried out in the Playa el Reten which is in Monagrillo. All you need to do is follow the port’s street to enjoy this amusing activity.
