Chiriqui Highlands
The temperature in the highlands drops and here is where the called “Tropical of altitude or high savanna”, where the temperatures are mild, not hot less than 18˚ during the entire year. The Los Quetzales path joins two villas, Boquete and Cerro Punta, in the highlands of Chiriqui, through the Parque Intenacional La Amistad (La Amistad International Park). It is one of the most popular and visited paths in Panama. If you begin the tour from Cerro Punta, there are three sectors: the first is the entrance to the Park (Cerro Punta Park Guard’s Station), the second is the path between this entrance and the Park Guard’s Station of Boquete, meaning the path itself and the third is between this last one and the entrance to villa of Boquete.
