How to get to Cerro Chame

You can get to know this charming place only by making a short trip, approximately 40 minutes from Panama. This hill is specifically located between the mouth of the Chame river and the town of Chame. You will find signs making it easy to find.

It takes 3 hours and 30 minutes to climb Cerro Chame, however you must also take into account your physical conditions and whether you are use to big walks.

From the hill you will observe different vistas such as: the Parque Nacional Altos de Campana (Altos de Campana National Park), Cerro Espave, the mangroves, the Pacific Coast, the new edifications in the Causeway, the ships waiting to go through the Panama Canal, and many more attractions.

You can climb the mountain during any time of the year, however winter is best since the climate stays fresh in contrast to the summer with the sun and the lack of trees for shade while going up the mountain.
