How to get to San Miguel?

It is very easy, since there are two ways to travel to this paradisiacal place, one is:  by water, where you will have to take a boat by the pier of the embankment next to pier Fiscal; this has a value of 10 dollars and the trip lasts three hours and a half; the other option is by light aircraft, leaving the Albrook airport and there are only to flights per week.

You will be mesmerized when you arrive to the this Panamanian Island. Once the boat arrives to the island, you will have to walk 10 minutes to get to the town, where you will find very kind people, who will help you to get to your place of lodging.

Distraction in San Miguel

Around this beautiful island you will find much distraction and entertainment.  You can swim in Santana Beach, which has gold sands, a truly incredible beach and the biggest in the area, you can also take a tour of the islets that are almost in front of the town, where you can observe different birds, you will also be able to tour the town, but you must be accompanied in order not to get lost.

A place that you should not miss visiting when you are in San Miguel, is a beautiful river of clear water, it is small but lovely and if you walk a little lower down you will find a waterfall, which cascades into a water pond between the trees; this place is totally marvelous and the best part is that not many people got that far and it is not too deep so you can take a nice bath without worries.

San Miguel has rich and economic dishes you can sample at the different restaurants the island has to offer, here you will find folkloric dishes that are prepared through out  the interior part of the Panamanian Republic (rice, peas, plantains and salad).
